Homecoming season 1 was released on Amazon prime in Nov 2018 with 10 episodes of an average length of 30 minutes. The story is of the suspense-drama-thriller genre.
The story revolves around major 4 characters, Walter Cruz (Stephan James), my personal favorite Colin Belfast (Bobby Cannavale), and Thomas Carrasco (Shea Whigham) with central pivotal character Heidi Bergman played by pretty woman Julia Roberts. Walter Cruz did well in his small role as an ex-military man. Thomas Carrasco played the role of investigating officer and did a great job. Heidi Bergman is in the pivotal role of homecoming facility head or supervisor.No words for pretty women awesome acting. Colin Belfast is in the negative role of a boss and recruiter of Heidi in the Homecoming facility and problem solver for the Geist (a company that owns Homecoming facility). Colin played an awesome calm villain role. Some other small characters are also in important roles like Craig (Alex Karpovsky) assistant to Heidi, Ellen Bergman (Sissy Spacek) Heidi’s mother, Gloria Morisseau (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) Walter’s mother with some other small character roles.
The story is about a chemical manufacturing company, Geist launch a 6-week program called “Homecoming” with a visible motto of helping US military veterans of young age to adjust to civil society after retiring from the war front with some bad memories of killing and witnessing deaths of friends and colleagues. Homecoming facility located somewhere outside the city and with well-developed infrastructure. It is a volunteer program and people are not allowed to go out once entered and visitors are also not allowed. Food, some grooming sessions, mental therapy, psychological study, role play as a civilian, interviewee, and friends sessions are held in the Homecoming facility for the veterans. During this veterans and their behavior is under observation and noted continuously.
Walter is one of the young volunteer veterans from the batch of 18 visiting Homecoming, who respond to the program positively and show signs of positive change. Heidi is their supervisor cum psychologist. Craig is a role play teacher and a special man of Colin in the facility. Colin is the creator of the idea ‘Homecoming’ and takes care of and controls the facility. Walter’s mother gets some suspicious feelings about the facility, their activities so she complains about it to DOD. Thomas investigates the truthfulness of the complaint.

Must watch the web series if you like psychological thriller dramas. Colin and Thomas really made it entertaining and thrilling. Pretty women’s presence as Heidi changed it to worth watching
