Aarna …Bundle of Happiness
In Maharashtra whenever a girl child is born, people congratulate by saying “Abhinandan Lakshmi aali or Dhanachi peti aali” (congrats goddess Lakshmi is born or wealth came). Till the time you are born I was thinking, it was just a simple phrase prevalent, after some father got sudden wealth or profit on her daughter’s birth.
But after your birth, the first time when I took you in the arms and looked at your tiny hands, little fingers, black eyes, and head smaller than my palm, at that moment every single drop of tears flowed from eyes are invaluable and those memories are so precious that nothing can replace that moment and memories. This was the first sign given by destiny that “Adi Lakshmi” is born by blessings of “Santana Lakshmi“.
Your love about food, especially very specific and particular about the taste, color, variety, and presentation of food, keep us thinking about your healthy meals all the time so that you will finish it in one go sitting in one place. After research and efforts taken on your food, the moment when you finish the entire food served on the plate and smile (the quantity that we think is enough irrespective of your stomach, age, or what you had before that). At that moment we are top of the world and feel like a relief. It gives us a feeling that “Dhanya Lakshmi” is showering blessings on us.
Sometimes you drain our energy with your heroics activities, games, or stunts, but with your smile, dance, cuteness, and various “Nautanki” activities you help us to regain it soon. When you smile, we immediately forget all the tiredness and feel refreshed. We feel like blessed by “Dhairya Lakshmi“, with the power to endure stress, pain, and tiredness with energy and patience. Your stunts on jhula, bed, chair, dining table, sofa, stairs, a toy car, it gives us a feeling that “Veera Lakshmi” is living with us.
You as a child live with your own rule of “too late to bed, late to rise”, so we put all the war level efforts to make you sleep early. So that once your journey to the dream world starts, we can take rest to regain our energy for the next day. To make you sleep we keep trying methods like music, dance, reading, etc, but every night you gain double energy to in vain our efforts. We keep trying to sleep you, but finally lost and tired we manage to keep our eyes open with the slept mind and brain. May be looking at our condition you feel pity for us and start your journey to dreamland in a train of sleep. At that moment we feel like Gladiator with the hand of “Vijaya Lakshmi” on our head.
Your parents are not animal lovers and try to stay away from them. But we don’t know, from where you got the nature of loving animals, especially the Dog and Elephants are your favorites. Whenever you get a chance to watch any animal on TV, Laptop, mobile, toy shop, or anywhere else your energy, happiness, and excitement are overloaded which is reflected in your high node noise. An animal is in the picture, toy or real, it really doesn’t matter to you. Looking at your love for animals, it gives us the happiness of staying with “Gaja Lakshmi”.
You as a child and curious by nature, so you keep asking continuously “He kay ahe?” (What is this?) looking at every new thing. Sometimes we get irritated but you ignoring our irritation and keep on asking with innocence. Many times you already know about the things, but still, you keep asking. If by mistake we told wrong about a pointed thing, you keep asking till we correct it. Surprisingly books are top in your toys list and god’s gift to us. We use it as a weapon to keep you busy, quiet, silent, entertained for hours. The most important way that we use books, is to distract you when you cry uncontrollably. Your curious mind and love for books, help us to serve “Vidya Lakshmi”.
Each thing which comes under your eye scanner on TV or during roaming is either yours or parents, which make us at least virtually the owner of many things, which we never think to own in dreams also. The list of our virtual ownership contains- tigers, giraffes, deers, elephants, sharks, planes, planets, and many more.
Each word you say is like a songful word from Goddess Swarswati “Babaaaaa Ikke ye, come” (Dad come here), “Aana Palli (Aarna fell), bananaaaaa, chikkkkuuuu, aambaaaa, “Aai babudana de” (Mamma give me Sabudana), “Aai Aprikaat de, Pitaa de (pistachio) “, O didi (Ovi didi) and many more from your “Chatter Box”. While saying that words your action, pronunciation, tone, and expression are priceless and precious.
The moment I reach home from the office, the first thing I expect is to see you smiling or dancing, so that I will gain my drained energy, happiness, and relief from stress which makes me wealthier than anybody else for the moment.
The moment you stop crying after vaccination or any other reason, that moment we get the happiness of getting priceless treasures.
We wake up at least 2 hours before you and continue with our routine half-heartedly, as we don’t want to wake you up, but until you wake up and say the first word of a day, we can not concentrate on anything. We keep expecting to see your smiling face or hear the word Mamma, Aai, or rarely Baba as a kick start for a day, the moment these words reach our ears, our senses become active and energetic and we start working enthusiastically, that happiness is like getting something that we were waiting from many years. And the most important thing is, this wealth of happiness we are getting daily.
All this wealth of priceless moments, precious memories, happiness, and invaluable smiles are given to us by the incarnation of “Dhana/ Aishwarya Lakshmi” born at our home two years back.
For us, it’s “Ashta Lakshmi” come home with the name Aarna.
The day by day you are growing and you lighting our life with happiness, joy, energy, memories, energy. That things are our real wealth which is not replaceable. Today you turned 2, but in these 2 years only, you made us so rich, with your cuteness, energy, talking, smiling, expressions, crying, innocence, etc. that nothing else to wish. Personally, I want you to be a cute little angel of ours and never grow but time will never read the mind and heart of the father. Accepting the reality of the time, on your second birthday wishing you all the happiness, success, bright future, and joy of the world.
